Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 2 October with Increase in the market cap by 0.03% to record EGP 319.535 bn compared to EGP 317.426 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.31% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 1.304 bn which represents 39.48% of the total trading volume today after 22.730 million shares were exchanged capturing 3.72% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 534.6 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.77% and 20.161 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 1.06% to record 3.800 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.2% to record 5.655 points.
