Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 24 July with Increase in the market cap by 0.87% to record EGP 280.722 billion compared to EGP 278.305 billion at last Wednesday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.09% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 291.922 million which represents 24.78% of the total trading volume today after 6.767 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.88% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 1.7 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.16% and 17.725 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 1.73% to record 3.305 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.44% to record 5.198 points.
