Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 5 June with increase in the market cap by 1.77% or EGP 276.447 billion compared to EGP 271.650 billion at the end of yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.17% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 439.152 million which represents 14.35% of the total trading volume today after 9.840 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.69% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 119.6 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.63% at 17.570 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 2.04% to record 3.495 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.28% to record 5.165 points.
