The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 13 March with decreased in the market cap by 3.96% or EGP 259.921 billion compared to EGP 270.640 billion at the end of Sunday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 28.02 %of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 554.382 million which represents 24.99% of the total trading volume today after 13.441 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.36% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 127.5 million on shares.

The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 3.13% at 16. 088 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 7.29 % to record 2.983 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 6.25% to record 4. 377 points.
