Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 27 March with decrease in the market cap by 3.26% or EGP 251.509 billion compared to EGP 259.973 billion at the end of yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.00% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 191.291 million which represents 9.49% of the total trading volume today after 7.735 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.90% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 52 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.24% at 16.100 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.89% to record 2.857 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by0.78%to record 4.249 points.
