The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 22 May with Increase in the market cap by 0.46% or EGP 269.204 billion compared to EGP 267.971 billion at the end yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 272.821 million which represents 15.53% of the total trading volume today after 5.914 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.84% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increased EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 53.5 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.57% at 17.033 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.44% to record 3.041 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.02% to record 4.601 points.
