Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 6 March with an increase in the market cap by 0.55% or EGP 279.027 billion compared to EGP 277.496 billion at the end of Monday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.67% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP311.480 million which represents 16.18% of the total trading volume today after 7.206 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.23% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 127.5 million on shares.

The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.14%at 17.056 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 0.19% to record 3.093 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.01% to record4.581 points.
