The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 12 June with decrease in the market cap by 0.99% or EGP 277.116 billion compared to EGP 279.897 billion at the end of yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.33% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 130.174 million which represents 10.23% of the total trading volume today after 2.855 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.44% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 61.7 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.20% at 17.856 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 1.62% to record 3.667 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.05% to record 5.379 points.
