The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 19 June with decrease in the market cap by 3.16% or EGP 284.059 billion compared to EGP 275.365 billion at yesterday 's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.61% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 524.657 million which represents 19.86% of the total trading volume today after 15.203 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.43% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 39.9 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.21% at 18.217 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.19% to record 3.614 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.12% to record 5.356 points.
