Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 17 July with increase in the market cap by 0.18% to record EGP 278.073 billion compared to EGP 277.569 billion at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.28% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 372.241 million which represents 24.50% of the total trading volume today after 7.785 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.68% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 1.8 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.97% and 17.667 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.57% to record 3.443 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.58% to record 5.113 points.
