Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 29 May with increase in the market cap by 1.92 % or EGP 271.582 billion compared to EGP 266.459 billion at the end of yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.66% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 231.393 million which represents 9.54% of the total trading volume today after 5.668 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.45% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 83.2 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.47% at 17.217 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.23% to record 3.240 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.17% to record 4.844 points.
