Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 31 July with decrease in the market cap by 0.39% to record EGP 276.680 billion compared to EGP 277.758 billion at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.44% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 593.685 million which represents 28.29% of the total trading volume today after 12.054 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.83% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 110.4 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.24% and 17.630 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.37% to record 3.542 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.49 % to record 5.228 points.
