Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 7 August with Increase in the market cap by 0.76% to record EGP 279.044 bn compared to EGP 276.933 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.31% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 399.754 mn which represents 14.63% of the total trading volume today after 10.044 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.23% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 57.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.80% and 17.865 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.82 % to record 3.596 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.89 % to record 5.320 points.
