Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 9 October with Increase in the market cap by 1.18% to record EGP 316.119 bn compared to EGP 312.433 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.58% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 194.097 Mn which represents 17.09% of the total trading volume today after 4.108 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.92% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 12.07 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.27% and 19.464 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.79% to record 3.611 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.55% to record 5.367 points.
