Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 21 August with Increase in the market cap by 0.25% to record EGP 285.071bn compared to EGP 284.359 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.62% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 695.412 mn which represents 26.87% of the total trading volume today after 13.641 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.02% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 84.9 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.63% and 18123 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.92 % to record 3. 677points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.55 % to record 5.405 points.
