Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 23 October with decrease in the market cap by 0.38% to record EGP 326.518 bn compared to EGP 327.758 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.80% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 739.588 mn which represents 15.97% of the total trading volume today after 14.094 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.58% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 7.3 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 2.01% and 22.614 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.97% to record 4.159 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 2.29% to record 6.308 points.
