Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 4 September with decrease in the market cap by 0.34 % to record EGP 304.251 bn compared to EGP 303.228 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.88% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 469.172 mn which represents 21.71% of the total trading volume today after 8.879 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.1.28% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 1.3 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.99% and 18.945 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.49 % to record 3. 843 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.67 % to record 5.621 points.
