Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 16 October with Increase in the market cap by 0.68% to record EGP 321.472 bn compared to EGP 319.301 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.48% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 632.123 mn which represents 15.81% of the total trading volume today after 12.544 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.80% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 23.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 3.48% and 21.328 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.5% to record 3.808points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 2.37% to record 5.759 points.
