Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 13 November with decrease in the market cap by 0.48% to record EGP 383.174 bn compared to EGP 385.010 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.80% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 563.497 mn which represents 16.70% of the total trading volume today after 9.177 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.65% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 70.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.19% and 24.073 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.25% to record 4.800 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.87% to record 7.041 points.
