Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 18 September with Increase in the market cap by 0.28% to record EGP 312.840 bn compared to EGP 311.973 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.76% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 593.948 mn which represents 23.89% of the total trading volume today after 11.050 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.15% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 23.5 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.42% and 19.762 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.94% to record 3.900 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.73% to record 5.732 points.
