Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 25 September with Increase in the market cap by 0.48% to record EGP 316.533 bn compared to EGP 315.022 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.10% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 643.902 mn which represents 25.52% of the total trading volume today after 14.230 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.26% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 184.2 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.53% and 20.498 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Fell by 0.04% to record 3.837 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.13% to record 5.707 points.
