Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 25 December with Increase in the market cap by 2.2% to record EGP 396.967 bn compared to EGP 388.509 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.07% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 284.545 mn which represents 10.56% of the total trading volume today after 5.261 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.39% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.70% and 24.260 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.65% to record 5.363 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.68% to record 7.709 points.
