Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 30 October with Increase in the market cap by 1.25% to record EGP 343.763 bn compared to EGP 339.525bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.52% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 748.343 mn which represents 14.97% of the total trading volume today after 13.916 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.13% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 57.2 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.51% and 23.559 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.29% to record 4.453 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.38% to record 6.704 points.
