Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 25 March 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.60% to record EGP 478.873 bn compared to EGP 476.027 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 330.717 bn which represents 10.20% of the total trading volume today after 5.237 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.78% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 25.5 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.98% and 29.344 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 0.72% to record 6.726 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.04% to record 9.597 points.
