The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 20 May 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.22% to record EGP 423,926 bn compared to EGP 422,987 bn at last Sunday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.13 % of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 310,760 mn which represents 6.45% of the total trading volume today after 5,127 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.64% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with the decline of “EGX30” alone  as foreign investors directed to selling with a value of EGP 178.9 mn.
