Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 26 February 2024 with increase in the market cap by 2.23% to record EGP 452.080 bn compared to EGP 442.199 bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.11% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 890.144 bn which represents 10.12% of the total trading volume today after 12.994 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.02% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 3.92% and 29.339 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 0.42% to record 7.688 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.29% to record 10.671 points.
