Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 8 April 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.05% to record EGP 448.514bn compared to EGP 446.223bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.16% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 249.320mn which represents 10.75% of the total trading volume today after 3.699 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.59% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 178.9mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.25% and 28.555points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 0.88% to record 6.541points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.10% to record 9.311 points.
