Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 13 May 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.5% to record EGP 412.712 bn compared to EGP 410.556 bn at yesterday 's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.30% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 349.979 mn which represents 14.90% of the total trading volume today after 5.514million shares were exchanged capturing 0.84% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.90%, to record 25.388 points EGX70 increased by 0.96% to record 5.528 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.56% to record 7.925 points.
