Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 8 July 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.76% to record EGP 438.356 bn compared to EGP 441.726 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.73% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 798.681 mn which represents 18.22% of the total trading volume today after 31.531 million shares were exchanged capturing 3.48% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX100 only and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.67%, to record 28886.74points EGX70 decreased by 0.09% to record 6372.14 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.14% to record 9251.89points.
