The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 27 May 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.41% to record EGP 423.082 bn compared to EGP 424.837bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.10% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 47.869 mn which represents 1.42% of the total trading volume today after 1.235million shares were exchanged capturing 0.16% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.91%, to record 27.689 points EGX70 decreased by 0.65% to record 6.076 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 0.63% to record 8.798.40 points.
