Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 15 April 2024 with increase in the market cap by 3.12% to record EGP 462.512 bn compared to EGP 448.512 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.04% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 705.576 mn which represents 14.85% of the total trading volume today after 11.532 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.32% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 3.90% and 29.661 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 2.36% to record 6.696 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 2.93% to record 9.584 points.
