Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 15 July 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.88% to record EGP 433.128 bn compared to EGP 436.969 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.86% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 266.842 mn which represents 9.00% of the total trading volume today after5.863million shares were exchanged capturing 0.87% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.32%, to record 28197.34 points EGX70 increased by 0.43% to record 6308.95 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 0.16% to record 9119.19 points.
