Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 10 November  2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.9% to record EGP 468.586bn compared to EGP 464.549bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.46% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 278.846mn which represents 8.02% of the total trading volume today after 6.794 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.54% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.41% to reach 31.514 points EGX70 rose by 1.43% to record 8.363 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.07% to record 11.632 points.
