Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 7 November 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.4% to record EGP 464.549bn compared to EGP 462.692bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.33% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 399.928mn which represents 9.26% of the total trading volume today after 7.919 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.73% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.72% to reach 31.370 points EGX70 rose by 0.51% to record 8.256 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.51% to record 11.522 points.
