Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 13 November 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.9% to record EGP 477.058bn compared to EGP 481.431bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.81% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 353.069mn which represents 9.08% of the total trading volume today after 8.474 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.66% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.47% to reach 31.687 points EGX70 fell by 0.30% to record 8.405 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.49% to record 11.689 points.
