Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 27 October 2024 with increase in the market cap by 2.6% to record EGP 457.444bn compared to EGP 445.837bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 413.373 which represents 12.03% of the total trading volume today after 11.479 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.24% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.85% to reach 30.904 points EGX70 increase by 0.74% to record 7.961 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.67% to record 11.188 points.
