The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 18 August 2024 with an increase in the market cap by 0.04% to record EGP 458.581bn compared to EGP 458.391 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.42% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 111.153mn which represents 3.05 % of the total trading volume today after 3.366million shares were exchanged capturing 0.0.38% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.57%, to record 29.798 points EGX70 increased by 1.08% to record 6.761 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.64% to record 9.724points.
