Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 2 June 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.42% to record EGP 425.1895 bn compared to EGP 426.978bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.83% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 217.990 mn which represents 6.72% of the total trading volume today after 3.700 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.64% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.20%, to record 27.140 points EGX70 decreased by 0.60% to record 5.981points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 0.37% to record 8.626points.
