Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 10 March 2024 with increase in the market cap by 3.72% to record EGP 519.157 bn compared to EGP 500.538 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 694.262 bn which represents 9.27% of the total trading volume today after 12.247 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.08% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 5.17% and 33.062 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 2.50% to record 7.428 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 3.07% to record 10.627 points.
