Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 17 December with Increase in the market cap by 0.98% to record EGP 408.691 bn compared to EGP 404.733 bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.04% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 210.891 mn which represents 7.45% of the total trading volume today after 5.162 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.34% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase  and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.28% and 24.469 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.58% to record 5.469 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 1.4% to record 7.903 points.
