Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 24 September with Increase in the market cap by 0.18% to record EGP 315.022 bn compared to EGP 314.449 bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.96% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 115.995 mn which represents 5.42% of the total trading volume today after 2.889 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.54% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 7.4 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.66% and 20.325 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Fell by 0.02% to record 3.854 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.1% to record 5.718 points.
