Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 16 July with increase in the market cap by 0.49% to record EGP 277.569 billion compared to EGP 276.209 billion at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.86% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 29.568 million which represents 2.95% of the total trading volume today after 929.2 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.20% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Stable of EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 23.8 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” settled at 0% and 17.437 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.15% to record 3.456 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.03% to record 5.121 points.
