Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 4 June with decrease in the market cap by 0.30% or EGP 271.650 billion compared to EGP 272.473 billion at the end of last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.19% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 161.325 million which represents 5.68% of the total trading volume today after 3.681 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.26% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 36 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.44% at 17.706 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 3.11% to record 3.305 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 2.46% to record 5.077 points.
