Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 9 Abril with decrease in the market cap by 3.03% or EGP254.737 billion compared to EGP262.689 billion at the end of last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 68.419 million which represents 6.37% of the total trading volume today after 2.744 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.68% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased and turnover amounted EGP 21.1 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.21% at 16.756 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.33% to record 2.960 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.26% to record 4.442 points.
