Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 26 February with increased in the market cap by 0.90% or EGP 287.645 billion compared to EGP 285.083 billion at the end of last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.61% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 161.924 million which represents 10.86% of the total trading volume today after 4.180 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.07% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 25.4 million on shares.
The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increased by 1.23% at 17.295 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 1.60% to record 3.027 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.43% to record 4.510 points.
