Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday’s closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 16 February with decrease in the market cap by 1.86% or EGP 289.911billion compared to EGP 295.411 billion at the end of Wednesday’s session

The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.60% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 367.882 million which represents 14.95% of the total trading volume today after 8.880 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.75% of the total trading volume

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Thursday’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 142.2 million on shares
