Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 5 March with decreased in the market cap by 0.25% or EGP 277.496 billion compared to EGP 278.190 billion at the end of last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.81% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 185.935 million which represents 13.34% of the total trading volume today after 5.367 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.36% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with rose EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 46.3 million on shares.
The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.11% at 16.929 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.09% to record 3.073 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declines by 0.01% to record 4.553 points.
