Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 23 February with increased in the market cap by 1.73% or EGP 285.083 billion compared to EGP 280.226 billion at the end of Wednesday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 28.48% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 296.966 million which represents 20.78% of the total trading volume today after 8.204 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.12% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases and turnover amounted EGP 25.4 million on shares.
The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increased by 1.35% at 17.003 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks increased by 1.20% to record 2.971 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.13% to record 4.436 points.
