Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday’s closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 9 February with increase in the market cap by 4.46% or EGP 298.361 billion compared to EGP 285.634 billion at the end of Wednesday’s session

The market cap of the banking sector reached 28.81% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 547.632 million which represents 22.39% of the total trading volume today after 12.597 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.97% of the total trading volume

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Wednesday’s trading session with increase  EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 51.8 million on shares
