Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 2 Abril with increase in the market cap by 1.15% or EGP 261.648billion compared to EGP 258.685 billion at the end of last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.22% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 93.076 million which represents 7.74% of the total trading volume today after 3.194 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.36% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 52 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.68% at 16.694 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.42% to record 2.846 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.63%to record 4.301 points.
